Insomnia causes you must handle
To cure your insomnia, you must stop the insomnia causes (whenever possible) in addition to treating it. So... You may have “temporary” insomnia, caused by: - Recent emotional upset or worrying
- Tea or coffee
- Being to hot or cold while sleeping
That’s the obvious stuff. Stop doing them, and your insomnia will clear up. The real problem is chronic, long-standing insomnia. Thousands of years of observation in China gave unique insight into very specific insomnia causes. These include: - Worry
- Overexertion (exerting too much energy at once)
- Mental overwork
- Long work without rest
- Working under stressful conditions or while eating a poor diet
- Excess sex (you'd think that would make you sleep, wouldn't you?)
- Extended emotional strain
- Anger and/or frustration (especially in young and middle aged people)
- Irregular diet
- Over-eating
- Eating too much greasy food
- Eating too much hot (spicy) food
- Childbirth with a large loss of blood
- Residual effect after having a cold or flu
If you have a history of any of those insomnia causes, that’s probably where your problem is coming from. Your conventional doctor may say your problem is caused by some other disease condition, but that disease was most likely caused by the things I listed above. Try to understand this – a disease is not a cause – it’s an outcome of some other cause. It’s that other, underlying cause that has to be dealt with, if possible, to really get rid of your insomnia. Otherwise, you’ll just be medicating the symptoms and never get over your problem.
